Assist the Director, IT Infrastructure and Applications in technical support and configuration of all systems and networks at HOPE Center, the Bethesda Office, and global offices. Install, configure, and monitor all server hardware, software and network equipment. Recommend upgrades, patches, new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users.
1. Provide remote and onsite support to internal and external users for all systems, to include, but not limited to, issues with, servers, desktop hardware and software, data storage, wireless/networks, and PBX connectivity, including 24/7 support.
2. Plan, develop, test server, software, upgrade the network, and telephony systems as required for optimal performance. Make recommendations for new purchases and new systems.
3. Monitors all servers, NAS and network equipment to ensure equipment reliability to minimize interruptions and downtime. This includes performing proactive system maintenance and using tools to monitor the equipment at various levels of operation.
4. Assure 24/7 reliable network connectivity by performing proactive system maintenance and bandwidth analysis. Monitor networks to ensure confidentiality and integrity of data and availability of all network services. Troubleshoot and resolve network failures and bottlenecks to ensure trouble free communications for the end-user, between the servers and to the Internet. Monitor the QoS (quality of service) of the VoIP (voice over IP) connections. Configure and monitor network activity logs, WebTitan, SpamTitan, E-Mail, instant messages and other critical system.
5. Assist in the security patching of servers, desktop computers, laptops and network equipment, by using patching tools.
6. Design, build and support Microsoft SharePoint farm and site collections, including training to the end user and design of forms using InfoPath.
7. Design, implement, and maintain server data backup operations to provide disaster recovery for the organization's on-site data.
8. Applies industry standard security practices to ensure that all systems and networks are in compliance.
9. Must travel between multiple locations in the Metro DC area.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three-Five (3-5) plus years of experience in server software and hardware - VMware virtualization software (vSphere, ESXi), wireless/ network equipment, NetApp NAS and SAN storage, Citrix XenApp, including Cisco ASDM & VPN.
Three-Five (3-5) plus years of experience in Windows Server 2016, 2012 and 2008 (Active Directory, IIS, DFS, NPS, DNS/DHCP, GPO), Exchange 2010, SQL Server 2012, 2008 and 2005, SharePoint Server 2010 and Online, Antivirus, and Backup software. Experience with Windows desktop client operating systems (Windows 7 and Windows 10) and applications (Office Professional Plus 2016 and Office 365).
Three-Five (3-5) plus years of experience in LAN/WAN design, installation, and maintenance for networks greater than 300 nodes.
Experience with Avaya PBX equipment and/or other voice over IP (VOIP) systems
Technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, etc.) preferred.
Well organized, strong client service mindset, effective written and verbal communication skills, and extremely detail orientated.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
